Is poker considered a "sport"?

It's not what I'd think of as a sport, but ESPN televises this shite.

This is stupid. No one in these sports is "out of shape." You can't just be some lardass and hop off the couch and be limber enough to have a pro level golf swing or MLB caliber pitching motion. They may not look like athletes with bulging muscles and flat stomachs, but they are athletes regardless of what you think.

Baseball and golf players can be fat but out of shape is not one of them. Both take tremendous hand eye coordination to succeed. A big masher in baseball (Prince Fielder for example) is strong as shite

Shaquille was pretty big in his 30's
Oliver Miller as well....

As with a lot of sports it depends on the position that they play. A lot may appear to be fat but they are probably pretty athletic just not in "shape"

The mlb season is 162 games long. No one out of shape can come close to finishing a season.

Shut up. He said out of shape.

And they are, doesn't mean they are not athletes.

Eh. They have a tremendously honed skill set and great hand eye coordination. I'd be willing to bet their cardio/respiratory endurance is shite. My criteria is basically can you perform 30-45 mins of moderately strenuous continuous physical activity. Doubtful guys like John daily or David wells could.

Eta:I'm obviously talking about only a certain segment of the players/golfers.

We can do this for basically every sport but soccer and tennis.... Does that now make them better?

No, but it makes them the two sports with the most in shape athletes overall
