I have a crap load of crawfish tails in my freezer from previous boils this year and thinking about making gumbo this weekend. I know some people stop making Gumbo when the weather warms up. What is your opinion on the topic?

i typically only make gumbo from Oct. to March but that is mainly out of habit...that is when my mom tended to make it.

but if you are craving gumbo, i say make gumbo...

Someone once said, "If the AC is running, it's gumbo weather!"

Not sure who though.

There's absolutely no reason to not have gumbo allyear long. Good food is good food.

I never stop making gumbo during summer. I make it less often since I do more outdoor grilling. I don't grill in winter.

It only drops a few degrees in our winter and why stop making gumbo at all. It's good eatin'! I cook it year round. Now that you mention it I may have to make a good seafood gumbo real soon.

I don't. If I feel like having gumbo, I cook it.

Make a gumbo and put those tails in it.
