I used to spend like $100 a month. It just got to be too much along with too much drinking.

I try to keep it in check. I don't drink everyday like a lot of the FBD'ers do so a beer run can last me awhile. I'd say around $40 a month, not including when I go to a bar to meet with friends or at restaraunts.

I just spent $140 on beer five minutes ago. Goose Island Variety pack, 6-Shipyard IPA, 6- ST. Arnold Endevour, 6-Southern Tier Hopsun, 6- Soutgern Tier Live, 6- Squattrrs Hop Rising, 4- St. Arnold's Icon Pale Ale, 4-Timber Beast, a build your own sixer and a case of Bud Light. My fridge was empty. First time I've seen the Southern Tier stuff around here.

I was about to start this same thread today. I see people drinking $40-$50 per night. Wish I could

I don't want to know

My wife says beer is my hobby, so it's just the cost of me being happy

She's a good woman

It is a significant expense. I could ballpark it but I'd rather not haha. I don't have a SO or wife and meet my obligations as a parent and at work so I don't lose any sleep over it. Actually it helps me sleep come to think of it.

I'm going to have to stop buying beer so I can get back to my dieting and hit it hard.. but if I'm not being careful, $120/month sounds reasonable for craft brews.

When I was in Austin, between bars and Spec's I probably spent well over $200 on craft brews. Too bad about $100 of that was broken by FedEx.

Some of us have to factor in homebrewing costs as well.

That goes under hobby expenses. I used to spend a lot on bicycles and component upgrades. Now I rarely spend anything on my bikes.

frick at least 2-300 hundred a month.

If I go to a bar with my fiancée I am getting out at no less than 50 bucks after tip. We do that at least once a week. So 200 alone at bars.

It was getting out of hand before i got engaged and we bought a house. Now that we have joint accounts, not nearly as much.

I'd say about 20-30/week in beer. I have some weeks (rare weeks) where i don't get anything. It's typically due to whether or not Calandro's has some new stuff in that i want. Now if i make a trip to Houston or Florida, i'll easily spend $80-120 on beer. However, that beer will last me for quite a while.

I'm in the present case of trying to drink down my supply. Usually a party at the house with friends one weekend will help me to clear up the fridge. The problem is once the house fridge is emptied, i restock with my supply in my brewfridge in the garage. And that fridge is stocked, but about half of it is stuff i have aging.

And then once every 2 months i brew, typically. And that runs about $30-$40.

So weekly average i'd say about $30-$35 would be about right.

Glad you asked this question. I have been wondering about this very thing.

No criticism because all of us spend our money on stuff we like. I read the beer threads and wonder. Not being a craft fan I had no experience.

Not the same subject, but the same thoughts is the following

Have a friend who said that when he dies, he hopes his wife doesn't sell his guns for what he told her he paid for them.

The wife and I both get $100/week we can spend on whatever we want, no questions asked. Usually that goes to beer runs and happy hours for me.

Throw in trips to bars/restaurants and the other beer I buy on grocery runs(Thanks HEB for carrying craft beer!), I'm probably around $400/month on beer. $200 or so at bars and $200 for the house.

It's an unhealthy obsession...
