What other teams did you consider when you picked who to follow?

I was down to Newcastle and Man City (this was in 2006 before the Manc takeover). I went with Newcastle because of their fans reputation.

I was down to Tottenham or Chelsea but I just liked the way Spurs managed to play at a high level without necessarily having internationally known household names

Before I really knew anything I watched Tottenham and Swansea. This was before I had fox soccer or goltv. Then I moved to manu and Barca and then settled with Barca

I narrowed my choices down to Everton, Fulham and Spurs....ultimately settling on Spurs partially because of the logo and name.

I really don't think I considered anybody but Liverpool and after a while I add Dortmund as my #2

I almost hate to admit it....
Ive mentioned before that I initially gravitated towards LFC, due to liking Michael Owen during previous WCs...
But, for a very short time I almost considered Chelsea because one of my best friends owns Chelsea's in BR... and, I'm kinda lazy...
thankfully it never took and I just followed through with the reds... after reading up about them, it was easy... and when I really started watching we had Stevie in his prime, fresh off of CL success and we were on the brink of Torres... Chelsea had players with no redeeming qualities...

First soccer exposure was WC98. My two favorite players from that WC was Owen and Zidane, so I did consider Juventus at the time. I didn't really follow soccer until about 2003. By that time Zidane, had already moved to Madrid.

Didn't really consider anyone else. Learned about Ryan Giggs and found ManU because of it. This was late 90's and a friend and I started playing fifa.
I don't keep up with the epl anymore, though, I'm all in with the Dynamo.
So I would really call myself a ManU fan. Though, when the MLS All Stars played them here in Houston, I was pretty damn pumped to see them in person. Especially since Giggs played.

New Castle. Considering switching to crystal if they get promoted.

Still haven't truly narrowed it down. It'll be a team that plays on the coast though. I just enjoy watching soccer in general. I basically pull against the big squads. Don't really feel passionate about any one squad.

None. I flipped on tv for my first match an there was a blue team with an African badass with a jerri curl. A fan was born. Had no idea they were good. But that's my team.

Chelsea were on tv a lot so I watched when they were on. Then got a chance to go to a Chelsea - Stoke match in April 2010 at Stamford Bridge. I casually pulled for Chelsea before, but that sealed the deal. I went back to London to watch a Chelsea - Reading game early in the season this season. I'm not going to pull for anyone else now.
