Im not sure about the very best thing ive ever eaten.......

But the best steak I have ever had was at St. Elmos Steakhouse in downtown Indianapolis.

Was the only good thing about living in Indy......everything else sucked.

I love them too. Especially those little crumbles. As far as I can tell, the crumbles are free.

Our local Long John Silvers is a combo restaurant attaced to an A&W so I get excellent Diet Root Beer with my fish platter. Hushpuppies are also nice at our LJS establishment.

I guess there's just something about Pirate Food with diet rootbeer!

I know both are sort of considered the gold standards in classic old school steak houses. I just find there's too much other stuff I want to eat, while in NYC, to bring myself to eat at either.

Maybe, one day.

Its just too complex of a question. I have eaten some amazing dishes over the years, hard to pick one as the best.

Osso buco in this homestyle restaurant in Milan.

A "Mozambique crustacean" in Cape Town. Most succulent meat of any kind I've ever had.

Hard question. Probably some salmon in Seattle. Or some really awesome gumbo....Herbsaint comes to mind. Wanted a vat of it.

Was like jambalaya on steroids. Wish I could remember the name of the little dump cafe I ate it in Barcelona?
