Looks like TBS will televise the Final 4 games. Thoughts?

TBS knows funny. Hopefully Tyler Perry is the color commentator.

Man I have always associated the final four and championship game to CBS. Did the NCAA bid this out?

Under the 14-year deal that CBS and Turner Sports signed with the NCAA in 2010, CBS and TBS were scheduled to start alternating broadcasts of the entire Final Four starting in 2016, but Turner had the option to move that up to 2014.

About as dumb as showing the last Olympics on tape delay in prime time in the US.

Why would CBS agree to that?

I've always associated the NCAAT with CBS, so to have the Final Four games now on TBS is a little sad. Nevertheless, we live in a different day and age where just about everybody has cable TV and CBB has lost some of its luster from the 80's and 90's. May not have been as lucrative for CBS to show the Final Four games as it used to be. Same thing has happened in CFB with ESPN airing the BCS games (except Rose Bowl) and National Championship game.

I think the CBS collaboration with Turner has been awesome (every game is watchable). As long as they don't cheapen the production values it should be good.

I think really big sporting events should still be on network TV, but in this day and age it really isn't a huge deal.

I'm glad to see CBS and Turner keeping some events away from ESPN to keep a little bit of competition.

a good number of them, actually. with the availability of websites on which to watch any sporting event around the world, there's no reason to pay for cable when most major sporting events and up until now all championships were on non cable. i don't have cable anymore. it's a waste of money.

Also, March Madness is free on CBS/Turner's sites every year anyway.
