Resting a chicken (or turkey) breast side down

I came across this in a recipe and it made me ponder the pros and cons.

I can see how the juices from the dark meat would sort of self baste the white meat as it rests...hmmm...I've never done this.

I think ten minutes of resting would not make a noticeable difference.

don't just rest the chicken or turkey breast side down, cook it breast side down. the breast meat will be unbelievably delicious and not even close to being dry.

This is how I like to roast a chicken myself. Doesn't make much difference smoking them though. I guess the heat is too low smoking to make a difference.
