Super easy bowline

Might have to stop it and see what he's doing a few times but if you can perfect that knot, you will never regret it.

Even just tying a bowline the normal way will give you a huge leg up when dealing with ropes. There's not much you can't do with it.

My little brother has a tree trimming co. and they use it all the time.

Easy to untie, does not slip, works great with big ropes even when wet.

It doesn't slip tight around whatever you tie it to and after it has been loaded up you can still get it untied.

I guess that would depend on conditions, line size, etc.. If I'm down to one arm I'm throwing half hitches and I'll just cut away.

I've memorized the bowline and a couple of others, but for the rest I bought one of these and keep it on the boat.


I also bought the fishing knot card for the tackle box.

Like they said, it doesn't come loose till you take it loose and it doesn't slip.

And you pronounce it 'bow-lin'
