Braised beef tacos (photos)

First I started with all the necessary accoutrements
I then browned the beef (grass fed ground chuck)
I then prepared the organic corn taco shells
and baked them for 6 minutes at 325
while the shells were baking, i drained the fat then seasoned the beef and added 2/3 cup of water
and drank half of this
at this point the beef is just about ready
i timed it out right where the shells were done at the same time as the beef
i then began preparing the tacos. i started with sour cream
then came the beef
i then added some cheese. i decided to go with the Mexican four cheese/cream cheese blend because i like a lot of cheese on my palate.
then i added some Cholula hot sauce to finish it off and give the dish a nice balance
...and microwaved it for 15 seconds to melt the cheese
after pulling it out of the microwave i decided it needed more sauce so i added a little taco sauce
i rounded out the meal with another drink...i figured if the wife wants to eat she can fix her own plate

Followed by my pictorial thread in which I pour a diet Dr. Pepper (over just the right amount of ice) before taking Advil.
PS. Is that Fonzie jumping the shark?
PPS. Where is the shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes for those tacos!?

Taco shells are whole grain. Beef was grass fed. Sour cream was tasty. They waited until the cow was finished with the milk before making that cheese.
The Whiskey? was chilled to perfection.

I hang those organic shells on the baking rack in the oven so I don't have to dirty up a baking sheet. I also put the cheese on the bottom so it melts from the beef mixture and put the sour cream on top. Like you, I don't always deal with lettuce and tomatoes. I prefer cheese, meat and sour cream. The rest of it just falls off anyway as soon as I take the first bite.

Those look good - but since you've gone with organic shells, I figured you'd like to know that the pre-shredded cheese has way more preservatives than the block cheese. I know the pre-shredded stuff is more convenient, but once we discovered that, we only buy block cheese.
