If you wanted to end up with an ACCURATE and reliable 1911 how would you go about it?
Buy one? Build one from a base model? Could it be done without breaking the bank? Which gun would you start with? What would you do to it?
This is what I'm thinking about, but won't be able to do due to the priorities of Teague and Mrs. Teague with their meager funds.

Have your hawk attack KR and fly off with one of his pistolas. Feed your hawk a chunk of meat.
Total Cost: Chunk of meat for Hawk.

Not quite on that baller of a status but I'm excited about the upcoming arrival of a Springfield TRP I ordered. Should be plenty accurate and reliable.

I could be completely happy with this guy:
S&W E Series
Or this bad boy with the Bob:
It has the external extractor which many purists don't like...but ALL modern semis worth owning use this extractor. So, I can accept it. It also falls into the discretionary income bracket, whereas the Wilson and Nighthawks do not. Although, the Nighthawk fits in nicely with the Teague motif of aviary.

Ok, let's try something else........
What kind of 1911 do you have, and what did you pay for it?

The Citadel 1911s get good reviews. Normally around 500 or so. Been thinking about one of these to get started.

Those grips are bad arse. Wonder how they'd look on a blued pistol?

I started a thread awhile back about a "sleeper" 1911. Some of the responses were Girsan, Para, & STI Spartan
