Just wondering what the price is going for live crawfish in Louisiana. Looking to get 3 sacks here in Houston and cheapest we found was $1.69 pound for Large sized. Just wondering if they are much cheaper in Louisiana.

That's a good price in Houston, especially if they are really large crawfish

Well not exactly Houston, have to drive all the way to the Texas City Dike. For the price though it is great.

I was never going to drive to LA. Too far just for crawfish. I was just wondering what the prices where compared to what I was going to pay in Houston. Seems to me they are about the same prices give or take a little. I'm just glad they are not over $2.00 a pound. about a month and a half ago we paid $2.99 a pound for small crawfish but we caved in because we where desperate.

Paid $1.35 this past weekend. $1.69 in Houston sounds like a decent price.

Crawfish farmers I know were getting .85/lb for straight run last weekend and wholesale was selling for $1.00/lb. Should be able to find retail for ~$1.30-$1.50/lb in BR and surrounding areas.

I paid $1.25 in Pierre Part Sunday morning. Fisherman said they're really starting to catch in the spillway.

Yeah. They aren't making any money on em right now the supply is so large. Had a friend down in PP call me Sunday to come pick em up. Couldn't sell them(He has commercial license and a couple hundred traps) and was having hell trying to give them to friends/family

Duffy's is still processing a ton though.
