Blood Orange Short Ribs & Veggies

The wife has been out of town and I wanted to cook dinner without her involvement so she could recuperate from the long driving. I started with the potatoes, New Potatoes Herbs De Provence. while those were boiling a bit til tender I steamed the carrots for Honey Butter & Dill Carrots.

These were delicious!


I forgot to get pctures while cooking the carrots but you'll see them plated.

The short ribs on the Primo Oval Jr. sauced with that Blood Orange & Jalapeno Pepper sauc I made last night.


I couldn't decide which plated picture to post so here's two different angles.




The sauce was absolutely fantastic! I hope to find time this weekend to make a big batch and can some. I wish I had thought about making this stuff all Winter long with these oranges. Mmm.........Mmmmmmmmm.......

oh my goodness, that food looks amazing! very nice dinner to come home to. those potatoes, wow! Is the sauce recipe a family secret?!?! :-)

Damn nice looking!
Blood oranges are available at most grocers (I can usually find them at Rouse's, Whole Foods or Fresh Market).
