Watch the replay. Thomas and the guy touched the ball but #3 for ISU touched it last and hit it out.

The announcers went over it and showed it was a good call. Don't know what the fuss is about.
ETA: Although there has been a TON of ticky-tack fouls callled throughout the tourney.
ETAA: Now Charles Barkley says it was a bad call. Whatever. Tons of bad calls throughout the tournament. The refs are doing a poor job, but I don't know that they have completely changed the path of a game.

I was rooting for Iowa St. (not that I had a big stake in this one), but that was a close call. It was not "the worst" call anyone has ever seen, nor was the out of bounds call at the end of the game. I'd bet that over half of every game thread is some idiot complaining about referees (the other half is someone alerting everyone about how this game affects their bracket*). If you read the Louisville game thread yesterday, you would think that: a) Louisville was beating Colorado St. players with clubs and b) that it was a one possession game. It would be awesome if everyone could quit crying on every borderline call.
*No one gives a shite about this either. I promise you no one thinks you are smarter because you had Oregon in the Sweet 16 or knew Gonzaga was overrated.

Those refs made some horrific calls both ways. They were so inconsistent. One time, some dude gets raped going to the basket, no call. Then another time, some dude brushes up against another dude and they call it ticky tack, in the double bonus no less. What the frick.

They talked to the official guy and he said it was a block because he was over the restricted area line. It was a block even if he was completely out of it. You can't slide in at the last second when the guy has already committed to the drive.
