Its official, Mockler Beverage has secured this line of beers for the local market.

Now, to find out when and where we can get. I have only tried two of their offerings, Fat Tire and 1554 Black Ale. I am not a huge Amber Ale guy, but I love the Black Ale. What are some others to try?

They are supposed to be here in April.

Their Tripel is worth a try, the Lips of Faith series is really good.

I wasn't a fan of the Shift pale lager or the Ranger IPA, but that doesn't mean that they aren't worth a try either. Just not really something I'd buy.

Bar in Myrtle Beach had one called Dig on tap a few weeks ago. I really liked it. But my palate runs toward shitty beer, so take that fwiw.

That one should be a pretty easy drinking beer.

We should be able to compare Abita's Spring IPA to it. Haven't had either though.

They will be releasing their sunshine wheat, which is a great light bodied beer. It pairs nicely with seafood.

It's my favorite of their mass produced products.

1554 is my favorite standard line beer that NB offers. I have one every now and again because it is my wife's favorite "craft" beer.

most of the other standard offerings are no better than most other local stuff

aside from the ones already mentioned, the blue paddle pilsner is also pretty good.

I remember about 10 years ago everyone was obsessed with fat tire. Always thought while good, it was no where near as good as the hype, nor nearly as good as abita amber.

nah.
I don't think we have a brewery that competes with the NB standards.

And no, I'm not a Fat Tire fan boy.

Ryno lives in Houston, so his local is a bit better than our local

Considering LA is about 10 years behind on most thing expect to see A LOT more of the same.

It's ok though. Hopefully it'll convert many more people to craft beer.
