I'm taking my wife to Dallas for her b-day soon and would love some F&DB recommendations for restaurants near the Galleria in Dallas. Everything from fine dining dinner recs to breakfast and lunch places is welcome. Thanks!

Tell your mrs not to tell my mrs about this btw. She don't know yet. Oh yeah, I won't be fishing next Sunday with you as a result...

RDG/Bar Annie (the successor to Cafe Annie) is the best thing in the Galleria area. LINK
ETA: Sorry, that's in Houston, not Dallas. My bad.

Maggiano's. order family style must haves are the crab cakes for an app. And the crab and lobster manicotti for the entree.

Not a whole lot around Dallas Galleria for food. Either go up to Addison (Belt Line Rd) or down into Dallas.

Most of the restaurants near the Galleria will be in Addison off Beltline. It's a couple exits north of the Galleria. Kenny's Woodfire Grill, Sushi Axiom, Ziziki's (Greek), Del Frisco's are all near the Galleria or off of Beltline.

There are plenty more restaurants in that area but I don't live in that area there so I've only been to a few places.

Pappas Bros. Steakhouse is very good, but I am a firm believer that Del Frisco's serves a much better steak.

Tupinamba's is close to the Galleria and is a good place for Tex-Mex lunch.

Like others have said, head a little north to Beltline and there are too many choices to name, especially west of the Tollway. A little further north you have III Forks (high end steaks) and Blue Fish (sushi/hibachi). Del Frisco's like someone else said...maybe Lawry's...too many options to list. One great breakfast place that comes to mind is Mother's Daughter on Park. It's a little further north but is the best home style breakfast place I can think of in the area.

How much can I expect to spend? Their online menu doesn't have prices. I'm not too worried about the money, just don't want to get a bill with absolutely no clue. Just the wife and I. Prolly 2 drinks each, apps, salad, entree, dessert. Is $200 reasonable? $250?

That is an aggie hang out. Stay away.

its ok tex mex, but dont get tex mex. Plenty of steak houses and such to waste your time on Tex-mex.

Lucia and Tei-An. Neither is near the Galleria, but both are worth heading out for, especially Tei-An. For steak, Al Biernat's on Oak Lawn.

Galleria itself has a Mi Cocina and grand luxe cafe which are both great.

Go up to belt line road in Addison which is five minutes north. Tons of good food and bars

Flying Saucer for drinks

Blue goose
Kenny's Woodfire grill is the shite
Kobe Steaks
Fogo De Chao and Texas de Brazil are both there
Chamberlains chop house

My wife and Is fav is trulucks on belt line. Romantics wine place with steak and stone crab. Badass. Get the carrot cake

For breakfast go to Norma's or Benedicts and Snuffers for a great lunch

Also on a side note the Addison improv is on belt line and has good acts that come in. Would be fun
