My dad throws a brisket in for about an hour after he's done with the crawfish, then he finishes it on the grill...
HOLY CRAP IT'S GOOD. I could just eat the fat and be happy

Hebrew National hot dogs. I thought it would be disgusting. But those big hot dogs soak in a lot of flavor and are hearty. I still like Bailey's sausage in mine more, but its 'interesting'

I'm no hotdog fan but that sounds pretty good. I do like chili dogs. I bet that would make them even better

Y'all can end the thread.
The answer is eggs.

Plus they are awesome dipped in the SAUCE, that true crawfish boilers make to dip everything in.

well that would make since if the thread title was
"name an interesting Thing to throw in a crawfish boil" but the plural implied multiple choices.

Though Eggs will be in my next boil. Heck I haven't had a boil yet this season, and a still unused burner. May have to stop at Restaurant Depot tomorrow.

Potatoes from a boil are great roasted the next day. Cut in some chunks, toss in some olive oil and roast on 425. They're creamy in the middle and crispy on the outside with great flavor.

I boil them a bit in crab boil sometimes just for that reason. Just stick them in a bowl with boil and water and microwave a bit until they are tender. Then, I let them soak a while. Dry them well and you're good to go.

Are you from Shreveport? If crawfish are done right you don't need any sauce. Besides, the damn sauce just slows you down from eating more crawfish.

I enjoy crawfish without the sauce that lots of people like, but it doesnt bother to eat some with it on there if its availbable..
eggs, potaotes, and sausage all compliment it very well, so I usually make it.

Far as shreve goes, take a look next time you head over to sammys in BR for crawdads.. lots of sauce in there.
