An uncle of mine threw a whole pork roast in. Holy shite that was good. Not necessarily edible afterwards, but I've seen Oranges in a boil. I thought it was a very nice contrast to the lemon and add a great flavor to the crawfish

If you are going to be all north Louisiana and add fruit, might as well add pineapple.

I throw in whole onions. Mushrooms. Lemons, of course, and sausage. I usually toss some shrimp in there once the crawfish are out. I haven't tried eggs before, but that's on my list after reading this thread. I haven't done the green-bean-in-a-can, but I have done the same thing with a can of whole corn kernels. The canned corn is easier for young kids to handle. I also tried frozen broccoli in a wire cage last year. That shite was good.

Whole chicken after you take the crawfish out for the last time...heat it up good one more time and cut it off...let it sit while you eat, then pull out and debone. Sweet chicken salad next day...
Ya'll are stealing my recipe. Except no need to wait I slide it in a pantyhose, tie it in a knot and drop in as soon as the water boils. The chicken fat helps the crawfish peel or maybe I just think that. Slab bacon same way then refrigerate, slice and cook the next day as normal. Bacon towards the end for about 10 minutes or it will get too seasoned. Radishes do well as do fresh beets.

EGGS....... yea an egg. If your one of those folks that cut your fire and let the crawfish sit for a while try this. Cut the fire, when the boil settles down, crack the egg just above the water and let is slowly go into the water. Try not to break the yoke. It will sink. When it floats back up, you will have the hottest poached egg ever! They are great!

Caned corn, it doesn't get in your teeth. Punch holes, remove label, & throw in.

I love going to whole foods and buying 5-6 new york strips, lamb chops and a rack of ribs. Once I'm done with the crawfish i put all all of this in the boil. It's out of this world. Don't hate on it until you try it
