I don't think it's a great deal. I'd prefer to save $10 to get better looking RAM and with 9 latency and timing.

Timing isn't that important between 8-10

to each his own, sir. I don't ever use windows on my cases so I could give 2 shits what my ram looks like but it's only a daily deal at newegg so after today, I'd agree with you.

I'm watching dollars go toward drywall and renovations at the moment. I've only gotten a case so far so at this rate, I'll finish this build by next Christmas.

I have a feeling this time next year me and my wife will be starting a family and what not so I figure the time for something like this is now.

my shopping cart looks very similar to your build, so how 'bout we split custody and I get it for 6 months once you get it put together?

Thinking of this instead of corsair.
I don't know a lot about frequency and timings though. This is a tad cheaper than the vengeance I had picked out and it's lower profile if size becomes an issue.

That'll work perfectly. You won't notice much differencebetween 1600 and 1866

I use these which are listed at 1600 with 11 cas, but I bumped them up to 1866 with absolutely no increase to the already low stock voltage of 1.35. you can't get any lower profile. hard to find it though. glad I bought my second 8gb while I could.

I generally hear neutral opinions of them. I've never owned a Powercolor brand card myself. One of the main things I notice is that their warranty is below industry average for high-end cards. But I don't think I've ever owned a graphics card for more than 2 years anyway.
