How tricky are scotch eggs to make? Tips?

Admittedly, I've never made a scotch egg in my life, and it's on my recipe bucket list.
Any tips or tricks that I should know about? The recipes seem fairly simple.

A large pot of hot oil is the best tip.
Deep enough for the suckers to float.

I would imagine (I've never made one) that the trick is practice and determining how hard you want the yoke to be and that would be determined by how long you boil the egg prior to wrapping the egg in sausage and then frying.
This is the Scotch egg boiled for 15 minutes, from the AllRecipes.com website.
This is a Scotch egg that hasn't been cooked as long.. The yoke is still runny.. It's a matter of preference, but I like the yoke runny but either way, they're delicious.

My only tip is use wet hands to mold the meat around the egg.
