It's a tv show. Enjoy if for 50 minutes each week and enjoy the characters and entertainment and quit trying to pick part every scene.

It's a great show

Why are you saying that to me? I'm the one defending the show. Shouldn't you direct that comment to the OP or the others tearing it down, but yet to really show any major faults.

The prayer he was making amongst the bodies in the last minute of the S2 finale was in Yiddish. I wonder what kind of prayer it was.

Saul is Jewish. Came out somewhere in season 1, I think. Or maybe early season 2. But not in question far as I can see.

Spoiler

How about Carrie disappearing after the bombing and then showing up later like nothing happened?

Pretty sure that will get addressed in Season 3.

It became 24 in the second season and not in a good way. 24 was an entertaining show but it had the maddening tendency to have the characters do things completely illogical that no one would do in a million years for no other reason than to get the storyline where the writers needed it to be.

That's what screwed up Homeland in season 2. There were plot holes that you could drop an aircraft carrier into that only existed because the writers couldn't get from A to C without a ridiculous B.

Motherfricking THIS.

People who slob on this show are just kidding themselves or are just to stupid to not identify things that are TOTALLY ridiculous. It is all contrived bullshite.

Example: Why the frick would Nazir send the goddamn future VP of the US to pick up some random bomb maker in Gettysburg and drive him somewhere????

They knew the bomb maker was made, yet they send their #1 and most visible asset into a tiny arse town where he would almost certainly be recognized and could later be linked???

Why, you ask???

So that we can have a dumbs "suspenseful" chase scene through the woods where the bomb maker dies because he falls on some random arse pipe sticking out of the ground in a damn forest???

Obviously.

Not to mention the entire scene at the beginning of the season with blond arse Carrie running around the middle of fricking Iran through some random slum house she's never been to and picking out the exact file that had the key piece of information to unlocking the whole Brody plot and then fighting her way out of fricking Tehran and magically finding the CIA team SUV again at the last minute

That show bullies people into pretending it's great by creating lame arse "suspense" through completely idiotic and non-realistic contrivances.

Decent show similar to 24 but that thinks WAAAAAY too much of itself trying to pretend it's some sort of thoughtful slice of how things actually work in counterintelligence when it's really just mindless action/suspense.

Every single time she gets in a car with somebody she jumps out and starts running around like a maniac.

Then, 5 minutes later, they're off following someone who could end the world as we know it and she says "can I go"?

"Sure, but you better stay in the car."

The first season was some of the best TV I've seen. The second season was not even close to as good.

The second season was just as good as the first. People act like it wasn't even the same show on this board which is ridiculous. The second season was great.

Are you retarded or something? It was set in Beirut, Lebanon. The title of the episode is Back in Beirut. And so what if she was blonde? It is an international city. Was it reckless on her part of course, but absolutely unbelievable to se a blonde woman in Beirut? I think not.

Are there plot holes, maybe, but it just a television show. If you cannot get over it watch something else.

jesus if I watched shows the way some do on here I don't think I would ever be able to enjoy a series.
