Ran into Matherne's on Bluebonnet and they were setting up the stack of it.

Just got 2 6packs from matherne's as well. Looks like they had 5-6 cases left.

Ran into the mockler guy at albertsons on airline/highland this morning, they are getting 10cases Thursday.

Curious. What's a sixer sell for?

Picked up two cases at mathernes. Cuban will have it tomorrow. Calandros said they wouldn't have it until next week.

Pretty pricey for a 6-pack.

Wish we could get a local discount. I can see paying $10 for a six pack of something from Cali but paying that for a 5% beer from down the road doesn't make as much sense to me.

I agree, but if it sells out quickly, then he probably isn't charging enough.

Exactly. I think this stuff is $8/pint at bulldog.

I'm not here to tell him how to run his business. Just stating that the pricing seems a little off. What's Abita cost? 8.99-7.99 depending on what store you're at?

And Shiner costs 6.99. I don't think that Canebrake is that much better than Shiner or Abita Amber to justify the cost increase and I think there are much better beers for 9.99 a sixer. But obviously there are plenty of people that want to support a local business and are more than willing to pay that.

Yep. I like it certainly more than 25 cents/bottle more than Amber. I like to support Louisiana companies and it's something different.

Retail prices are not set by the brewery. Just like the Grand Reserve, some stores are probably setting the price higher.
