If anyone is interested Mathernes on Bluebonney has about 4 cases. Not in the regular beer section, but a mid aisle display just behind the checkouts.

Do you need it in bottles or keg? If keg, I'm sure you could get it easily. If bottles, then it will be a lot harder.

Keg. They were saying Canebrake wouldn't take on any new customers due to the supply issue. That is what I was told at least.

It isn't like Canebrake is some revolutionary beer

that deserves a price hike on quality alone
Dude it's $1. I can't believe this argument has lasted the last 4 pages.

That is fine, but I won't be running all over town to find it.
I never have run anywhere to find it, but if I want it and it is $10, that $1 will not prevent me from buying it.

Just read this thread, pretty terrible if $1 is going to sway opinion in a purchase. Especially if you factor the money some of us throw out in this hobby.

I'd rather restoration and the LA 31 pale ale over canebreak.

I usually support anything local especially Abita but both of these taste terrible.

I'm not a huge 31 fan either. I can drink a Restoration every now and then.

i dont think the hobby people are the $1 people.

the $1 people are the ones that are drinking bud light at the bar for the most part with abita amber being the whoah im drinking something different beer.

and i hope the people complaining about a $1 just stay home and drink on the couch cause going out drinking often is expensive no matter what youre drinking

Cuban was selling today for $8.99.

Looks like some stores are just marking up more than others.

no, some store just aren't putting their regular markup to get more foot traffic.

Lafayette seems to always have it for appx $9 (was at rouses laffy today; $8.79 per 6pack). I'd assume its the distributor.

Matherne's on Bluebonnet has some 6 packs in the back, not on the shelves yet. A manager got me one when I was checking out the beer section on my lunch break.

Got it yesterday for $8.99. I will probably always have some Canebrake at the house now. It's my wife's go to beer.

And for whoever was complaining about the Chimes price, you've gotta remember it's an imperial pint, so you're getting 19.7 ounces.

I will probably never leave Baton Rouge without it now.

Of course, I'm also not sure when I'll be back in BR

I picked up an additional case at Cuban that they were holding for me along with some wine. $8.99 per six pack. That was the last of it but the girl told me they expected more tomorrow.
