Tomato juice or canned tomatoes is part of every skunk remedy I've heard of.
Not gonna be fun bathing him.

None of the remedies I've tries over the past work. The dog will smell like a skunk every time it gets wet for a long time. My old lab would get sprayed all the time and I tried everything. Nothing works but time.

I've heard people use straight tomato paste/juice with water and I've heard others like the OP. tomato juice is the common denominator.

I've had dogs get sprayed before but its been years since it happened last. I just want it to be bearable, I know he'll retain the smell for a while.

Tomato juice, hot sauce, salt pepper, Worcestershire sauce and vodka. That's for you. For him? Gallon of Fabreeze. Good luck.

Geez, I think you might need more fencing to keep him locked up

Dawn, tomato paste, and baking soda. If you put moth balls around the perimeter of your yard it will keep the skunks away

Skunk remedy – add some charcoal ashes or powder to the bath mixtures above and that helps remove the smell. You will have to bathe the dog numerous times and in the end it just takes time

I got hit by a skunk a while ago, and my remedy was to spray Drakkar Noir all over myself. Smelled a little better than skunk spray, and people could smell the Drakkar from 100yds away

this. I've tried everything from tomato juice to specialized skunk shampoo. The dog will still smell like a skunk.

If you go outside at around midnight-1am, you can shoot them with your .22. Just use short rounds to keep the noise down. Oh and skunks will haul arse when you shine them, so don't take too long to aim.

This works great. I can use this to remove the smell from a skunk pelt. Doesn't mask the smell it destroys it. Just keep away from eyes.

You have no idea. That dog could break out of Alcatraz and make it look like a cake walk.
