The Vaportini

quote:

The Vaportini provides a revolutionary way of consuming alcohol. It is inhaled rather than swallowed. It is smooth and flavorful, the subtleties of the individual spirits are apparent. It is absorbed directly into the bloodstream and does not go through the digestive tract. This has the advantage of no calories; no carbs, no impurities and the effects of consuming alcohol are immediately felt, making it easier to responsibly imbibe. Unlike traditional consumption of spirits, Vaportinis give more control, shortly after exhaling all of the effects of the alcohol consumed are felt.

I have to say, I am completely unsurprised by something like this. It sums up the modern American mentality of consumption.

They claim it's calorieless because the alcohol bypasses your GI track, but the alcohol still makes it to your bloodstream, so I don't buy it.

Saw this on the OT couple weeks back.

When the OT collectively decides something is dangerous and unreasonable, then it's beyond dangerous and unreasonable.

If they can only figure out how to package this into a paper bag I can see all the hobos who enjoy huffing super glue, markers, and spray paint lining up for it.

I'd try it. I seriously doubt it will trump my preferred method of Old Charter via hypodermic injection though. But for shits and giggles I'd give it a go.
