...and Jeff Fisher is probably the best defensive mind in the NFL.

I hope Payton isn't even thinking of interviewing him. Wait till after the Super Bowl and hire one of the many people being thrown around on here. Ryan should not be one of them.

Honestly, I don't think I could handle a Ryan in town. He's too Gregg Williamsish for my liking. And he looks all too close to Rex and then I start thinking about Sanchez and licking old women's feet.

Im fine with whomever Payton picks. If its ryan so be it.

Payton knows what he is doing

there is a reason he is still available..... why should we get someone who was fired for not being good enough???? Didnt we just fire someone that we hired right after they were let go????

Go for someone that still has a job and are wanted by others....

I maybe just maybe wouldn't mind him at LB coach with Romeo or Tomsula in control.

Look, I hate GW as much as the next guy, but saying we don't want Ryan because he's too similar to GW is pretty stupid.

We need someone who has a system like GW. As in, very aggressive... the way our offense plays, we don't need a shutdown defense. We just need an aggressive defense than can sometimes make plays and get us turnovers.. GW did that for us, and we won a SB. Ryan is aggressive.

He's my 2nd choice behind Crennel. Flame away.

I don't think he should be completely off the board but he's definitely behind Crennel.

No flame, but I have to respectfully disagree. The reason I don't want him is because his defenses seem to be undisciplined, which is the opposite of what I think we need. Obviously, with our type offense, you want to be aggressive to a point, but what we really need is a defense that can play sound defense, tackle and not piss away a lead.
