This is one of Cigar City's harder to find brews as most Zhukov's sell out as soon as they are produced. Thick and viscous, the darkest beer I've ever laid my eyes on. Absolutely incredible brew. Easy to drink with espresso and cocoa notes. You'd never know it was 11% abv.

I know some other guys have some cool beers, what's the F&D drinking?

Nice find! I've never had that one, but I tried the Hunahpu Stout from Cigar City at a bottle share recently and loved it. I wanted to take the rest of the bottle and run.

Everything I've tried from Cigar City has been top notch.

Bump

If you're anywhere near Tampa this weekend (March 9th) Get to Cigar City Brewery for the Hunahpus release. It's the only day of the year you can purchase this nectar of the gods. If you like Marshal Zhukov's you'll absolutely love Hunahpus.

Hey Wiltz,
Take the drive up 75 to a WOB and I'll treat you to THE best imperial stout on the planet. Had it this weekend. Bell's Bourbon Barrel Batch 9000 (14.8 ABV). I keep screwing up the whole adding a pic thing so go ahead and bust my balls BUT try the damn beer. You'll thank me.

Have it in the books already bengalbait. Can't wait until C.C. opens their brewhouse up in Northdale. I'll be able to stumble home from there.

Seems like it'd be worth it no matter the amount of clusterfrickness.

It's getting more and more popular. they have it organized real well. You have to get there early to get an arm band that insures you can get three bottles. They then start distribution at noon. After those that have the bands are served then they open it up to the others around 5:00 and as you can guess there is quite a line. Last year we waited in line for a few hours and there was plenty of bottles to buy. The time flies cause it is a real festival atmosphere with many people bringing beers for others to sample and they have food trucks, bands and Cigar City beers on tap as well. All and all a fun day.

It is. It's Beer Week here and every place that concentrates on good beer is having some type of tasting, unveiling of new brew, craft specials, etc. so if it gets too "clusterfrickness" you can just slide onto the next place. Good week to be here.
