I know people should do everything in moderation so I'm not one of those that drinks a gallon every other day. I might drink a gallon every week.

I've heard that milk of all kinds (levels of fat) are bad for you. Is this true. Why?

My idea of a diet is to eat in moderation and try to eliminate all highly processed foods

Thoughts?

If you keep starch out as much as you can, and keep your blood sugar low, whole milk is fine.

My opinion is the body knows how to process anything natural- sugars, fats, carbs, etc. I think the artificial and the refined are the cause of some of the health problems so prevalent now. I know we can't eat 100% natural, but the more you do, the better the body handles it. IMHO, entirely.

Milk is all cholesterol. So it is bad for you. A needless fat IMO.

I've never heard that it is all cholesterol.

Why do doctors recommend drinking milk for osteoporosis? And vitamin d?

Milk has calcium. But it has more than you need. Go outside and you can make your own vitamin D with sunlight.

I'd rather drink the milk. When it gets hot outside, I stay inside. I drink a glass of partially frozen skim milk every night. It's dessert.

Yeah, I talked to my better half about it. She changed my mind for me.

Whole is good for growing children. But if you're going to drink it, it has so much fat that it would have to be in very small servings.

Your bones will be strong when they have to break your chest open during bypass surgery.

2% and skim milk are less bad for you than whole milk, but none of them are bad for you.

You are getting a lot of bad info here. Whole milk is fine if that's what you like to drink.

I drink skim to watch the calories.

Cow's milk is to turn baby cows into big cows. I would gladly switch to human breast milk if I could find a reliable source. ;)

Sounds like a little much. It all really depends on your individual metabolism and lifestyle. Some people can tolerate more fat intake than others. I'm a 2% guy myself and usually only one serving a day.
