What to cook for a party? (updated with pictures on page 4)

So my wife was excited about having a "get together" for the Falcons game next weekend. We have a townhome (not a TON of space) and I was going to cook something on the egg.
Just found out we are having about 14 people. I normally would cook a pork loin, ribs or something like that. I am not looking to feed everyone, but would like to have something good that most people can have some of with other food that people bring. What would you do? The game will be on Sunday so I will have all Saturday if needed to cook as well.

This is exactly where my mind went.
Make a chili too.
You can set out fixings for nachos/tacos/chili dogs. Guac, shredded cheeses, queso, tomatoes, lettuce, black olives, jalapenos, ect.
BBQ nachos are the rage. All of the a fore mentioned are good with chips as an appetizer, and they work well as sides for a good BBQ sandwich.

You can't really ruin one, but I'll post a few tips.
Put it in cold. It takes more smoke and color that way.
After about 2-3 hours, move it to an aluminum BBQ pan and cover if you want. If won't take much more smoke than that.
8-12 hours is not unreasonable at 225F.
It will be so tender, just reach in and wiggle the bone. It will come out easy.
Have your favorite sauce on hand to dress the sandwiches.

Call the local Wally world and see if they have frozen gator, if so a pot of sauce piquant would be a good offering. I don't know what is in your kitchen but get to around 12 qts. for the amount of people. A side of warm tater salad to go with it.

Boston Butt is the correct answer unless you want beef then I'd go beef tenderloin.
Figure about a 1/4 pound of meat per person with side items for either the pork or beef unless you have some hefty eaters. Assuming (20) people, that's five pounds of meat. A five pound butt should take around (8) hours at 225-250. A beef tenderloin should take about an hour total.

So you would suggest a two to three hundred dollar meal for "friends", after he said the quantity of people.

How much is beef tenderloin where you are? Our local grocer has been selling them for $6.99/lb since Christmas. They aren't prime, but its beef tenderloin. I can get an (8) pound tenderloin for about $50 and have plenty for sandwiches the next day not to mention the burger I get when they trim it for me.

I haven't seen any lower than 9.99/lb. You then have the weight loss from cleaning it of the fat and silver skin to deal with prior to cooking it.

If you're not married to doing something on the egg, I agree on the one pot meal. You might be interested in white bean chicken chili. My recipe is in the recipe book in the stickied thread at the top of the page. A number of folks here have made it. It's definitely better made ahead and warmed with the last few ingredients (sour cream and cheese) added before serving. You can put it out in a crock pot with garnishes for folks to serve themselves. It goes a long way. I use white meat, but you can use white and dark, whatever your preference. Since your place is small and you might have folks eating some things standing up and walking around, you might want to use stryfoam cups (assuming this is a casual affair). We use them all the time. They work and can be held or placed on a plate with other foods.

I make these for everything, especially when my friends and I watch football. I also made them for a shower I helped throw for a friend.
I substituted the yellow mustard for dijon. They last no longer than 10 minutes, and I usually get requests to bring them to stuff we do.
