I'd love to know your thoughts on it. I asked about some of these a few pages back and didn't get a response.

I researched all the different models and the MVB was the best choice for me. I didn't want a proprietary BCG and wanted to be able to operate one handed. The fit and finish on the MVB is top notch and fits to the gun nicely.

Was supposed to ship today... still has not

ETA: I am going to buy or build a larger caliber rifle this summer. Leaning towards SCAR in 308 with ACOG but am also considering building .458 SOCOM or 30-06 AR.

Price really isn't a concern unless we get into 50 BMG + optics prices. Would love to hear your thoughts

A "Bargain Hunt" store opened up down the road. Stopped in there for the first time yesterday to kill a lunch hour and saw they had a OKC3S Marine issue bayonet brand new in the black OKC box with scabbard. Price will drop to $58 tomorrow. Trying to decide if I need it because I don't have an AR with an F2 FSB so I would have to build a new upper just to play with my new bayonete

Can you still get the Noreen .30-06AR?

why not just get the 300 win mag?

You can find em, not sure if they are new or used. I would be fine with 300 win mag but would prefer 30-06 because it's the first rifle I shot and killed a deer with as a teenager

I just spoke to Optics Planet and they now have an expected ship date of 8/15 for my Vortex red dot

I decided to call Vortex and ask what the deal was - he said he hoped they would have it to them before then and hopes to have all current orders filled by fall

Posted this in the other deal thread but might as well repost here.

Ruger AR-556 for $449.00 at GunBuyer.

Comes with folding rear sight and one PMAG. Had a buddy pick one up a little while back and the fit and finish is superb.

Someone tell me if this is right. I had a coworker tell me today that if you buy a silencer or build an SBR, you surrender your search and seizure rights upon getting the tax stamp. This can't be true can it?

Common myth. They still need a warrant like any other search. You do not forfeit 4A rights by owning NFA items.

Where did that confusion come from?

I have heard that those who base their FFLs out of their home are subject to random search and seizures. But I could also be wrong about that. Maybe that is where the confusion came from if true.

Even then the portion of your house where you conduct business is the only place they can look around, and only during your business hours.
