I'm a total Geissele fanboi, their handguards are awesome.

Oh come on...

that's like saying the glock 43 width is 1.02" and the glock 19 width is only 1.18" can't notice the difference... q

You know that's a very big difference.

And what I meant by not wanting to be tied down with the suppressor really is still being able to have their versatility of shooting no can and having it that much shorter

I just double checked SLR's site to make sure I wasn't misremembering and I was wrong. It's a 1.3 ID, 1.5 OD. So they're identical

As far as the versatility issue, the HB's handguard can be swapped for the short version. Quick change turnbuckle design for if you want to carry in a backpack. I never shoot without a can so it doesn't phase me either way, but I will definitely have both hanguards.

Shorty shown here has the 1.75" can

Official AR-15 thread
I'm thinking of putting together a lightweight upper with 11.5" barrel. Any recs? I've seen lots of people say the BCM KMR 10" rail is a great lightweight option.

Yeah they're the best bang for the buck by a long shot. Look great too.

One is on my 300blk SBR. It's light, strong and looks pretty danged good.

I had this one but took it off. Too heavy

If the HBs can is 1.5" how in the hell is the OD of their hand guard 1.5"

Literally the only reason to have quad rails anymore is to make clones for the M4, M16, mk12, and mk18.

The can isn't exactly 1.5. When I talked to them in their Q&A, they said end to end outside flat distance was 1.5". The rail is stupid thin and the distance between the can and rail is almost alarmingly small

Ships with both handrails now that's cool.

That takes away the biggest downside of having the under the rail suppressor for me.

Here's a peak at BCM's new MMR M-lok and quad rails, along with the KMR. Was hoping they would incorporate a QD attachment point like Geissele and Midwest Industries, but apparently not.

When will that be out? I'm about to submit ATF paperwork for a lower and want to build my upper with this rail once I get my stamp.

I don't think it does. That guy won it in an auction or something and I'm guessing it was part of the package. Both handguards are available to purchase

Late 2017 is what they said in the press release for new MLOK stuff.
