Where did that confusion come from?

No clue. Lots of people say it though.

Can't believe you got that little of suppressor gap on a 1" difference. I have a 9.5" Geissele with a 10.3" barrel and have a bigger gap. Although I have a Silencerco can, so that may be the difference.

Yikes. That's why I always like to buy my optics from Larue.

For real.

It's because of the flashhider from AAC. AAC makes them in two different versions. One being a deep set socket where the flashhider and qd mount thread over the shoulder of the threads. Or a standard flush mount where it will only thread as far back to the shoulder. I got lucky enough that it fit with enough room with the deep socket flashhider that I didn't have to use the flush one.

Yeah i thought real hard about doing something like that on my rig but I like a slim rail and my can bounces around way too much. Haven't gotten to the point of having dedicated cans

it is a slim rail, baw. 1.5" can (only way you can buy the 1.5" HB can is with that 2-stamp package). It's not integral either, it's direct thread so you can still move it around as needed.

5lbs 4oz with the can and no optic.

Ahh I didn't know about them using a 1.5" can for the Hb cuz idk how I feel about the 1.75" can but I guess that helps them keep their length down.

Idk that slr rail I just installed on my buddies pistol is slim

Oh come on...

that's like saying the glock 43 width is 1.02" and the glock 19 width is only 1.18" can't notice the difference...

You know that's a very big difference.

And what I meant by not wanting to be tied down with the suppressor really is still being able to have their versatility of shooting no can and having it that much shorter

I'm thinking of putting together a lightweight upper with 11.5" barrel. Any recs? I've seen lots of people say the BCM KMR 10" rail is a great lightweight option.

BCM is coming out with MLOK stuff later this year. If you don't want to wait, Noveske, SLR, and Midwest make great MLOK rails. SLR Solo lite is an awesome choice tbh.
