Fellow OBers... My fiancé is getting me some new boots for Christmas to replace my Red Wings. Any suggestions? I've had red wings and Justins (terrible boot IMO). Y'all got any suggestions in the Wellington style genre?

I have Tony Lamas with rubber grip sole. Had them for three years. Normally boots last 6 months or less.

Course I am at work plenty so I'm not wearing them daily.

Justin mule hide is the only boot I've ever had hold up more than 9 months. This pair is a year and a half old.

Different people fit different brands though.

I've gone through a few pairs of Doc Marten steel toes and I'm on a pair of Justin steel toes. Both are comfortable, but both cause blisters. Justins are a little more comfortable IMO. I used to have a pair of lehigh swampers steel toed that were extremely comfortable and waterproof, but the were rubber and leather and insulated.

I just bought a pair of Worx steel toe from Red Wing and I love. Had Red Wings before and were not satified, but these are awesome. There is a waterproof pair, which I have and regular pair.

I've got the Ariat work boots. Not a problem with em and they are durable as heck. Nothing wrong with em and been using em for over a year now.

Ariat or Red Wings have always been the longest lasting IMO.
I really like Dan Post, but the girl at the store told me that they arent really made to be a work boot, wouldnt hold up like the others.

I go through boots like crazy. Currently wearing Georgia Boots. They are the Athens steele toe Wellington. Moccasin toe and slip on. They are the shite.

I've worn nothing but lace up Justin's for more than 20 years but just recently bought my first pair of slip on Doc Martens.
I'm not liking the feeling of them "slipping" around on my foot but the Justins wear out so fast. IMO

Chippewa makes a great boot, and they are Made in the USA!

I have these and they are extremely comfortable and can also be recrafted. The soles are like walking on a big cushion.
