But do you expect a ring every year, or just this year?
Expecting a ring every year is beyond reasonable.
What should be expected is being in a position to contend for the SEC West every year. Do that and you compete for the SECC every year and, in turn, compete for the MNC.
Besides, I think you also have to give the other team a little bit of credit. Was it just us blowing it, or was it Bama making the perfect call at the perfect time?

And yet, all we had to do was stop them from driving 80 yards in 1:30....
I guess you've all voted and I'm wrong on this. We deserved to lose to Bama and we're clearly not SEC championship material. Now you can all stop cheering for Auburn and FSU to win.

With all the losses this season the fact that we were 1:30 from playing in the SEC championship is actually rather impressive.
So you are upset if we play well and lose (like the Bama game) and you are upset if we play poorly and win (Arky and Ole Miss). As I know everyone will be upset if we play badly and lose, the only thing that will make you happy is if we play well and win every single game on the schedule. You are setting the bar too high.

See, you don't get it. You're not getting a BCS Bowl b/c WE DIDN'T EARN IT. You guys are hoping others fail so we can succeed. We shouldn't have to go that route. And guess what - the 18 teams we needed to lose in order to make that happen didn't.

What did Saban do last year to "earn" it? Didn't Saban need the same thing again this year to "earn" it after losing his biggest home game (AGAIN) with their ridiculously EASY schedule?

I'm a pretty young guy. Yeah that loss hurt. This season wasn't anything compared to last year. I'm still hurt from how we fumbled the BCSNCG... and we sputtered around this season.
But you can't expect to go undefeated every year, win every crystal ball.
I'm still a fan no matter what, don't call me a positiger or negatiger, I'm just a fan.
Don't become a Gump who DEFINES their life by their football team.
The love of the football team comes from the love you have for the university and everything it means for you.
Not about being smug and rubbing National Titles in people's faces.
We didn't put it together last year, or this year, but the best thing about time is that it keeps moving and more opportunities arise.
But you can't expect to go undefeated every year, win every crystal ball.

I understand your frustration. We had that game won, and gave it up on playing soft coverage. When playing soft coverage allowed both A&M and South Carolina to score TDs at the last minute, why would we think Bama would be different?
But considering LSU lost 5 starters either before the season or during the season, I thought we still did a good job and had a good year.
IMO - it says more about this program by the fact we are one blown drive away from playing for the NC despite losing 5 starters for the season.
