So wait. We're supposed to be as upset as we would be for going 9-4 because we *almost* went 9-4, even though we actually didn't?

Legitimate curiosity speaking here, how did you handle 2007? That team should have skullfricked everything it touched with an 800-pound chainsaw. It went 11-2 and won a title. Could easily have gone 8-5 (loss to Florida, Auburn, Alabama).

Well, he answered, you didn't. What type of discussion were you hoping to garner from this thread topic?

LSU returning to the NC game was EVERYONE's standard after what happened last year.

That was before LSU lost Mathieu, Faulk, Blue, Hurst, Wiliford, ect.

All you girls are so upset by this thread.

I just wanted to remind everyone that we play for the NC game if we stop Bama at the end of that game.

I did, but you were so eager to find another Tard to agree with you, you couldn't wait.

I don't need your discussion. Just wanted to remind everyone we controlled out destiny and blew it. Keep your 10 wins, we won nothing this year....

I get where Tigger is coming from, but I just wish he'd appreciate the wins that we have, instead of moaning over the close calls.

I imagine that Tigger is a younger guy...

When I was younger I would be pissed for a week if we lost a game, and we weren't all that great when I was younger, so I was pissed a lot.

The younger guys don't know how good they've had it the last decade or so...

I'm convinced that so-called "fans" like this only use LSU to boast their own personal living atmosphere from day to day. So that they can walk into the gas station with their chest puffed out with pride as they purchase bud light lime-a-rita. So that they can walk into their cubicle job workplace with a proud swagger gait in anticipation to talk trash to their co-worker about why his fandom is better than anyone's. These "fans" don't appreciate LSU's current status in college football... Nor do they appreciate the hard work of every single coaching staff and player that has given so much to make this program what it is since the times when lsu was not elite at all. They think that as a fan they are more important to the team than the players, coaches, and university itself, and their feelings and "sacrifices" to lsu football are inferior to none. Nobody can change their minds, though. As a rational and realistic fan you just have to ignore these people. I'm glad for this season and always will be elated when a team accomplishes this type of season under the circumstances they (players and coaches) endured/experienced as we (mere fans) only read about them.

I'm probably older than you Rummy... lived through Arnsparger, Archer, Hallman, Dinardo... etc.

Seen real good, real bad, real great and real lucky.

HATE, HATE, HATE needing other longshot teams to win for US to win a championship. We had our chance and we blew it. Everybody so busy congratulating themselves on having a 10 win season. Yeah, that's nice, but at the end of the year... no rings.

This team was good, not great. Greatly underachieved and lacked a LOT of discipline - on and off the field. We could have been a LOT better, A LOT better.

Nailed it...someone else gets it I see.
Some fans think LSU plays solely for their self gratification and social standing.
Their lives are still pathetic even when LSU wins, they just don't see it, but when LSU loses they swiftly use that as an outlet to belittle teenagers.
So sad.

We really should go and try to trade seasons with Texas. I mean they blew out Ole Miss and we were only able to squeak by the Rebs. We cant be having these close games against teams who always play us close.

Or mayhbe we can see if Mississippi State would be willing to trade seasons. They blew out Arkansas.

I'd much rather a couple of decesive blow outs instead of a bunch of close wins
