You have one of the most OC-friendly chips on the market, and it's... stock?!

Hmm, that's one I could win (assuming we aren't including the money I put into cooling)... except for the fact that I'm running a 2600k, which is essentially paying $100 more for hyperthreading, which gives no gaming advantage. But I got my second 6950 for under $150 on ebay.

Think we will stick to the lottery system with higher scores receiving more shares. IDC, still looking for suggestions.

We would include cooling... thats a huge factor in obtaining better scores (oc'ing). I also got my 7950s for cheap off ebay, but we'd have to use pcpartpicker to void any false prices

Yeah, I splooged on my last PC build after getting a raise/promotion and combined with 16gb RAM I play everything on max settings and haven't needed to OC, so no point in killing off the hardware sooner.

I don't really care how the prize system works, although it would be nice to win. It will just be fun to see how everyone's turns out. I won't be able to fool with it until this weekend though. Work and such. btw coyote we still need to work on my OC if we are gonna make this a remotely fair competition.

You need to make it required to put the GPU-Z settings on there with cpu-z so we can see the video card clock speeds. I know it'll clog the screen, but we need to see what everyone's gpu clocks are EDIT: LINK to download GPU-Z EDIT 2: Run 3dMark in centered or stretched?

I had noticed that after, but really doesn't matter the clocks ppl are running at since it doesn't matter if you want to OC or not. I was going to include the validation from CPU-Z and GPU-Z with my post, but I needed to update both. They wouldn't let me verify with a link. Just was giving an example. I am running in centered. Just Basic since most ppl do not have the full version of 3DMark11.

For those that weren't interested in a 650-Ti, might have a great cooler I have never opened if that seems better. Have an H80 laying around, sure most ppl might enjoy that over a GPU they may or may not use.

Yes we do.. currently working 6days a week ATM trying to finish a project up. I plan on doing this sometime the week after Thanksgiving. Give everyone a week to submit scores in.

Most of us don't care if we win or lose. I am just throwing the prize in there since I have 1 laying around. Also, everyone has a chance to win. We will allocate a number of shares depending on your placement. Then put that into a random number generator. 1st having the most shares in the lottery Last having the lest shares in the lottery

That what I thought. Now the H80 is brand new also. Got it as an NewEgg Shell Shocker item.
