Since we are going into the winter with cooler temperatures, would be fun to see some 3DMark11 and Heaven 3.0 scores.

I am interested in doing a competition and giving away a ASUS 650Ti to the winner. Maybe a game code if ppl prefer that.

If you aren't familiar with benchmarking or benchmark software, it is pretty easy. You basically download the program and run it at the config we determine before hand. Then post a screenshot and datalink that verifies the score.

I will post links to the download pages for 3DMark11 and Heaven 3.0 when I get home.

So, any of you PC gamers interested?

**DOWNLOADS**

1. 3DMark 11

2. CPU-Z

3. GPU-Z

**Required for Entry**

1. Screenshot of the following.
a) 3DMark11 Score
b) CPU-Z Validation
c) GPU-Z Validation
d) TD Handle in Notepad

Example:

Will add a screenshot which includes GPU-Z. Along with the 2 validation links for example.

Original
3DMark11 Link for reference

Images will be made scaled to original screen shot for the competition so it will be legible.

that seems odd.

in order to win the competition you'd have a 660+, so you'd "win" a downgrade

That is all I have to give away, just a prize. Not upgrading a system.

Have a few game codes also I could give away, really just for fun.

ETA:

ASUS 650Ti retailed when purchased @ $160, not a bad prize for a second system.

My system is good but nowhere near what some of you have built.

I'll do it, but we might as well compare PC Specs and skip the benchmarks. Crossfired 7950s will beat my crossfired 6950s. Last I checked I got a 3500 in extreme in 3dmark11.

I dont understand the point in a benchmark competition, its really just comparing who spent more money on their pc.

Not necessarily. Someone can have a 7950 and a 2500k both oc'd and easily beat out someone with a 3570k and 670

I'll gladly join too, but not until I get my new coolers for xmas. Then it's game on

well maybe it shouldn't be who has the best scores? maybe it should be kind of a raffle for those who participate. I mean obviously I my 3570k and 670 are not going to compare to coyote's 690 or lsutoo's SLI'ed water cooled setup. I think it will be fun to see the results though anyway.

I'd be down for this, I have zero chance of winning but I would still participate.

I'm down.

I don't have anything OC'd (i7 2600k, GTX 560ti), but I'll play at default levels.

I won't compete then, but some of the posters have Cfx 7950s.. with the new 12.11 drivers they are outperforming 680 in some benchmarks.

nVidia just released new beta drivers, that might level the playing field in nVidia's favor again.

Doesn't matter, it is just for fun.

I figured if I throw a prize in there, we can get more ppl to join and maybe get into OC'ing.

Maybe it is a points system, like the NBA lottery.

You get X about of chances the higher you place. Then we put everything into a random number generated for a winner?

ETA:

Blue also brought up another way to go about keeping the playing field lvl.

We can do some type of Price per Performance ratio with Prices coming from PCPartPicker.com

Users create their config and submit it with their 3DMark 11 scores with all parts being verified by CPU-Z.
