What I have said is that he has made puzzling decisions at critical times which have lead to losing games that could have been won
Name 1 coach in all of football who hasn't done this.

Not to mention he turned down his dream job at his Alma Marta, Michigan, to stay at LSU. Were you not born when Saban ditched us as soon as his phone rang? We get a loyal coach who is the most winning coach in our school's history and f*cktards want him gone, f*ckinh LOL

Until he can beat Saban and win something for it, CLM will be in store for withering enfilades from Rantards.
Well, last year we beat Bama at T-town and ended up winning the SEC championship. Is that not "beating Saban and winning something for it"? Me personally I think winning the SEC championship and having a 9-0 conference record is a helluva nice consolation prize for losing the BCS championship game.

Why does no one ever mention that two of Saban's championships are with other coaches players. Yes the one at LSU also
Shhh...let's not spoil the party!

Why is it not okay to be critical of the offense he is coaching. Let's forget for a while the excuse of execution and look at scheme. Two tight end sets and 2 to 3 recievers at the most on any play. Running straight at the defense on 1st and goal from the 8 yard line. This is the same exact offense from last year that we saw Bama man handle. That is why people should be critical. Miles has done great things here, but he could be doing alot better if they would become more creative on offense. That is all most who are being critcal of Miles are saying.

I am not familiar with evidence that supports this claim. Do you have any?

This seems reasonable and was clearly evident in the last game. Scored FGs when TDs were needed.

You have the right to be critical of his coaching.

Unfortunately that is not what most of the critics in this thread are saying. Hell, one guy only gives him credit for recruiting and the rest of the credit he gives to Chavis.
It's absurd claims like this that bring out the Miles' defenders. There isn't another coach in football that is held to that standard. When the critics expect perfection when perfection doesn't exist it get tiresome.

It is also the same offense we ran against USC to the tune of 258 rushing yards and over 400 total yards against one of the best defenses in the country.
I guess you won't ever see that though.

It is fair to criticize things you don't like and point out reasons you think it is failing. It did fail in the BCSNG and at UF but does that make it wrong? Miles believes in ball control and strong defense which are the same things most successful coaches believe in. All offenses fail at some point due to good defense. Sabans offense failed last November. WVUs offense failed last Saturday with the clear front runner for the Heisman running it. Oregons failed against us last year. WVU gained crazy yards against but still lost because their defense failed.
I know it is cliche, but there are 3 phases to this game. They work in unison. Every now and then, one of them fails badly enough that the games is lost. For all but a couple of games, this applies to us. I will take winning ugly over losing pretty every day of the week and twice on Saturdays.

As to "losing games he shouldn't", I suggest you go back & look at the games your god has lost over the yrs. For one, with the exception of one yr, he lost 3 games every yr while at LSU. He lost at least 2 games on the last play of the game by blown coverages by his DB's, his area of expertise. The last against a team that LSU was far superior to. Check out the score of the ULM game, on his home field. He got beat by a very average, one man team in Eli's O.Miss team...at home. Repeat: he got beat by ULM. ULM. at home.Check out CLM's records against both Saban & Urban, the 2 coaches considered the cream of college football coaches. Yet, all he can do is recruit & hire good coaches. How many pictures of Nicky do you have in your room???

No, that is all you are saying, and it is reasonable. Did you not read the posts saying he is a good recruiter, nothing more? What about the OP claiming that Miles will never get credit until he beats Saban, which he has done as many times as he hasn't. That sounds a little different and a lot less reasonable than what you are saying.

@ your pomposity -
Perchance your Bombastic-ness should stick to simpler sentences with less complex words and clauses.

They also offered him more money than he was making at LSU, how did you not see this? Do you just watch football games on saturdays?

Guilty as charged. Thanks for the links. I think that CLM knows a good thing when he sees it.

There's a lot of silliness on both extrremes.
On the one hand, Les is a total buffoon and on the other, any effort to criticise is petty Negatiger fiction.
It's possible to have a balanced assessment, which recognizes his clearly earned achievements with his bone headed fallures.
There are both, which is why this debate endures.
Seems to me if you try to be objective, you can see both. If incapable of objectivity, you see on ly one.
On balance, he's one of the best coaches and finest people in college football. But he should be smart enough to coach around his own weaknesses on offense.
That's my biggest criticism: NOT that he doesn't coach the offense well, but that he doesn't recognize it and coach around it, by relying on others who can.

Anyone who looks at the Fla game, then the SC game, and doesn't see much better on the field execution taking place vs. SC is being blinded by something.
Almost a 100 yds in penalties vs. Fla and less than 30 vs. SC.
3 T/Os vs. Fla and 1 vs. SC.
And anyone not seeing that Mett with his 6 TDs, 4 ints, and 3 fumbles might have something to do with the conservative approach taken overall and in the RZ is equally being blinded by something.imo
