Sadly, the same can not be said for some of our fans.

Criticism of CLM

"LSU has one BCS championship (with Saban's players) while Alabama has two and looks poised to win a third.

Wrong. 11 of the 22 starters in the 2008 BCSCG victory over Ohio State were
""""""""""M I L E S""""""""""""" recruits....

Agree, but the O has been the problem for a number of years. It took a loss to get LM to change despite much evidence that the O-line was not performing. The point about Mett and the RZ turnovers is well taken, but the coach is the one that has to find a solution.

Your criticism is ridiculous. There's a reason you live in Texas. Stay home. No true LSU fan would write such a post.

You know you make some excellent points that I had not previously considered. Thank you.

Chalktalk, another compelling point. I will give that due consideration.

Only one question:Why is it that Les Miles is an offensive minded head coach and that's always the weak link of our team?
Please give examples of other elite head coaches whose background is the perpetual weakness of their team.

WOW! Now that is thought provoking.

White Tiger, you said that CLM loses games he shouldn't. Give me an example that does not include a SEC road game. Then compare that with the teams Saban has lost to over the yrs. ULM. UAB. Iowa. A one man O.Miss team with Eli at QB..at home. ULM. ULM at home.

Well, it's the passing game within the O. Bama won the BCS last season with like 215 yds per game rushing. LSU is currently getting like 208 a game.

Because of the inconsistent QB play in our last 21 games, one of the keys to beating LSU has been stopping the LSU rush game.

And yes...it's up to coaching to find a way to overcome our problems and win.

81-19 since 05 and 19-2 in our last 21 tells me that coaching has done a pretty good job of overcoming problems....inconsistent QB play or not.

REALLY? just stop. Miles is one of the best recruiters in the nation, now what happens after that is up for dispute, but saying that just having a bunch of athletes guarentees you a championship is ignorant... very ignorant... Miles brought those kids together and focused them to attain a goal.

did you even watch the games that year? did you see our strategy? going for it on 4th down? fake field goals? that was the athletes call right?

Ignorance

The bottom line is that Saban has won 2 BCS championships since he arrived in Alabama after Miles was in BR.

If it matters they lost to UK in 2--3 in OT if I recall.

I think most agree Saban is the best coach in college. If it matters KY was actually a decent team in 2007.

Let's come back to this in 2 years and see if this pattern stays in Saban"s favor.

The bottom line is that you have some man crush on Saban and want people to know about it.

Funny all these people that bow to Saban never bring up his loses to UAB, Utah, or ULM.

Oh, and if you are one of the fans who thinks being second best to Saban and the gumps is OK, then you probably think its OK to score a field goal after getting a fumble on the opponents 7 yard line.
