Perhaps it would help your perspective to realize the whole basis of your argument boils down to a difference of ONE GAME!

Nice analysis, my brother.

Chit stirring comes naturally to some.

It's a game to them. They love to stir the pot, sit back, and wait/watch the reaction.

Criticism comes at every HC and ours is both well paid and highly successful. So, it's not a big deal.imo

When the best results LSU has had in our history, the best results for wins in BCS/SEC football since 05, and national rankings of #1, #2, #3, #5, #8, and a current #6 is no longer good enough
for LSU in the minds of some, well...the criticism some seem to like to wallow in is simply agenda driven BS or a lack of college/SEC football smarts.imo

Perspective like yours is woefully lacking in many of the negas. Seeing the OP's responses lead me to believe he was obviously trolling, but it really lacked perspective. Like the man said, effectively his argument boiled down to one game (no matter how big the game was, nor how valid the argument might be).

LSU has been in 43 bowl games - 7 coached by Les Miles (which is effectively 1 in 6), and headed to 8 out of 44, or 1 out of every 5 1/2 bowls. Assuming we go to a bowl game after the 2013 season, Miles will have led a full 20% of LSU's bowl teams. Les is 5-2 in bowl games thus far, reponsible for just under 20% of LSU's bowl victories. Should he prevail in a bowl in 2012 and 2013, he will be responsible for almost 1 in 3 LSU bowl victories. Les is very close to eclipsing Bernie Moore as the number 2, all time in wins - while impressive enough, is waaaaay down the list on losses. Not that Curley Hallman is the gold standard of coaching, by any stretch, Miles has led more LSU victories since October 2011 started than Hallman did in 4 seasons, and may retire before he registers as many losses.

But for a couple of exceptions here and there, Miles has the market cornered on top 5 finishes as the head coach of LSU.

Perspective - get some - it's good for you.

"LSU wins because of talent & not coaching". Yes, he's won 80% of his games, in the toughest division in the toughest conference in the country, for yrs, because he's had the talent & he cann't coach a lick. Funny how time fogs the mind but I distinctly recall, after The Game of The Century last yr, that the widespread opinion here was that CLM seriously out coached Saban. To the extent that bama fans were mocked & ridiculed here. Or when LSU won the Jacob Hester Fla game against Urban; again, he was widely given credit for out coaching one of the two top coaches in the country at that time. When you win 80% games in this conference, yr after yr after yr, you have a coach who can coach.

Exactly. So maybe Saban outcoached CLM on 1/9. Miles outcoached Saban in 2010 and 2011. Win some lose some...its the nature of the game between evenly matched rivals.

Miles and LSU are basically the nations only hope to keep Bama in check...yet some of our fans think there is some guy some where who can go 6-0 against Saban, who they readily admit is the best coach in the nation. So IF Saban is the best, exactly what are your expectations for Miles replacement, who at BEST can only be the second best coach in the nation. What would your expectaions be record wise for this imaginary new guy against Saban? I'm thinking this 2nd best guy would do pretty well to be 3-3 against Saban huh?

Sound reasonable?

Sound familiar?

Taking apart the stupid logic of a guy like "white tiger" or "nitwit" or "tigerblood29" sometimes makes me feel superior...then I remember who I bested and think its more like being "king of the dipshits"!
