Worst starter to lose besides a quaterback

Radio show was just discussing what positional starter would hurt a team most besides losing the quaterback. Their conclusion was a CB. What do y'all think?

Any position where you have a superstar and no legit people behind them.
I mean, a lineman would be a major loss if your backups were scrubs.

I was shocked when I heard it..but heard last week on ESPN radio that Vegas cappers value the Center position 2nd behind QB.

LT. The thing with CB, is that while there are some very good ones who change every game they play, most teams manage to get by with some average ones. As long as teams are not paper thin at CB, losing a pass rusher will almost always hurt more.

That'd be my vote.

This is what I would have guessed. The center and the quarterback are the only two players who have to touch the ball on every offensive down.

LT or Center is what everyone always says, but I agree that it depends on the team and where you are deepest. There are some teams that could lose a LT or C and plug in another that would do just as well.
LSU is struggling with it because everyone thought Chris Faulk was a sure thing, but give it another week or two and I really think we will be right back to almost as strong as we were with him, because we have decent depth.
So to me it's wherever you are thinnest.

It varies from team to team. And for most teams CB wouldnt even be close to the top of the list
Giants- JPP
Patriots- Gronkowski probabaly
Steelers- Troy Polomalu
Ravens- Ed Reed/Ray Rice
Just a few examples and the positions are all over the place

Center
Patriots played 4 centers last year btw
And center is also the easiest position on the Oline for the most part

Yea well I think that depends on how your O-line is set up.
Soem teams (like the Colts with Saturday) depend on their Center to set the blocking scheme and read the D-line. In which case the Center is much more important. Some teams (like the Pats) don't
