So I just saw episode 1. It's pretty good. I won't post exactly what happens but it's great buildup for what's to come and arya is a badass

I'm on my re-read of Dance right now and the Q chapters are a complete waste.

Actually a lot of the book is a complete waste

Most of "Crows" is a waste too, oh look 347 chapters about Brienne the Man of Tarth trying to catch Arya. Yawn.

He's good...we'll really enjoy watching him while we can. He's pretty up front in that he wants revenge from the beginning and that his family doesn't care for the Lannisters. I don't remember it being that spelled out in the books.

They do a good job in the previously of of reminding viewers of important scenes. Maybe just because it's it's the first time I've watched after reading but every scene they show at the beginning makes you know exactly what they're leading toward. It ends with Ned showing his greatsword and the first scene is Tywin forging the two swords. Also Dontos...I guess he wasn't in the show at all after Joffs tournament because they show that scene before they reintroduce him

The episode just does a good job of showing about every character other than Bran and Theon. I kind of forgot how big all of their arcs are this entire season. I thought the show was a little ahead of where Jon/Ygritte actually are. Also, Shae dying is going to really surprise a lot of Hodors...she seems way more into Tyrion in the show.

Thanks for your review . Sounds amazing and this season is going to be awesome from beginning to end.

From what I remember in ASoS, Oberyn asked Tyrion about serving up vengeance as much as Tyrion asks where whores go so it's strongly implied that the Martells hate the Lannisters and their men.

Bran and Theon will more than likely be in episode 2 based on the episode summaries that are on Tower of the Hand.

Me either.

She's always been a favorite.

I was thinking about her and Sansa and I believe they are both devout survivors with totally different skill sets.

I think sansa is going to have a little cersei in her. She has all the makings to be bat shite crazy: Daddy issues, abusive ex, crazy ex mother in law, rapey step father, and zombie mother. I would not touch that with your dick.

Allright I guess I just don't remember it as well...I thought it was kind of a surprise when he suggested to stand for Tyrion.

Anyway, his intro scene is great and the Hound and Arya are great together. Going to be sad when that arc splits.
