Also just a thought as I continue to go through Dance, how pointless are the Quentyn chapters? Even worse than the Dany ones after the way he goes out

Oberyn was a cocky frick. He had the damn fight won.

I'm on my re-read of Dance right now and the Q chapters are a complete waste.

The Quentyn chapters are really meant to be support chapters for other characters. One purpose could be to add to our doubts about the plans of characters such as Arianne and Aegon VI (for example). We think we know where these story arcs might lead, but have our doubts because so many others have failed.
