It wasn't just that. It was that, plus the logistics, and the fact that Blake was obsessed with the Bat the whole time. 8 years is a long time to work a "hobby case".

To its credit, the film has me up at 4:38 thinking about it and not about the things that were wrong.
I like over thinking good movies
My brother took me to see the avengers while I was in town and I never gave it another moments thought once I exited the theater

If you aren't over-thinking a Nolan movie then I feel like you probably weren't watching the same movie as the rest of us.
Nolan doesn't do mindless drivel. Sometimes I think he over-complicates things but if you told him one of his movies didn't make you think he would probably feel like he failed.

Bane sounded like Sean Connery playing Darth Vadar, but other than that he was as menacing villian as you will find. He went out like a second-rate character though. Catwoman just had to ruin it

Bruce left everything in the Batcave to Robin John Blake. In comic mythos, Robin was never actually named Robin, plus they made this whole huge deal about A: Bruce couldn't be Batman forever, but Batman could always exist, because he is a symbol, and B: Because Batman was a symbol, anyone could do it, hence why Bruce kept giving Blake advice such as "Always wear a mask to protect those around you" etc.
Perfectly explained, why else would Alfred smile when he saw Bruce, he knew he was done being Batman and Catwoman got her clean slate. Bruce might train Blake but without a doubt in the Nolanverse, Blake is the new Batman, the Bats flying around him and the rising platform revealing the bat suit underneath.
TDK 9.5/10
TDKR 9/10 (Two minor plot holes)
BB 8/10
After Talia and Bruce had sex one time they were some how in love I didnt quite get that and then how Bruce got back to Gotham so quick. Those are the only two things that bugged me, but IMO another masterpiece like TDK.

Wicked how else are we supposed to get Damien Wayne? haha

Blake becomes new Batman(though if he did with no special training and no billion dollar fortune to finance him it probably would end badly for Blake)
Bruce's will left everything to Alfred and seeing as how Bruce didnt die, it is still his money and he had plenty seeing as how he could sell everything to live in Italy. He knew Blake would become Batman and will fund him and train him.

John Blake > Damien Wayne
Also I think it was sort of explained that John Blake was a great detective and thats why Gordon promoted him to full scale detective and he had 8 or more years to figure out Bruce was Batman, it really didnt bug me. Not a plot hole to me. There were only two and that doesnt stop it from being a masterpiece 9/10.
Like Jacks40 said Nolan wants you to overthink his films and find flaws because they are very minor and we expect greatness and it's not really fair to him.

How did his leg get fixed in jail without the brace thing?
Knee braces are stabilization devices. They don't "fix" anything, really. Their function is palliative. His leg wasn't broken, but he was obviously experiencing some arthritic effects, hence the brace. This doesn't mean he couldn't completely use his leg.
In fact, many clinical studies show that movement of the joint is actually helpful for arthritis.

Punching someone in the back cures a break?
The film never mentioned that his back was broken. He actually incurred a spinal disc herniation from his initial encounter with Bane.

3. Why didn't they just keep climbing the wall instead of jumping from one platform to another
The pegs that projected outward that allowed one to ascend essentially ended at the first platform.

This. I'm just now getting up and moving for work. That ending kept me awake most of the night.
I loved it. Epic in every sense of the word. The only thing that I didn't care for (which is just me being nit picky and not negative at all towards the movie) is that I couldn't understand Bane during his introduction scene in the plane.
The scene was so badass, but I just couldn't for the life of me understand what he was saying. I'll have to watch it over again.
Other than that, fantastic movie. I can't wait to see it again. And again. And possibly again.

And can somebody elaborate on the Bane plane scene for me please.
Why was he drawing blood from one of the physicists?

So that it would appear as if the physicist died in the plane crash.

Saw it twice already.
My problems:
1) the plot device over the fusion generator being weapon used. Especially the part over how work diddly stopped after the release of the paper.
As if thermonuclear weapons didn't exist before Wayne's project. Stupid on the level of the microwave emitter of the first one.
2) How did he get out at the end?
3) Why was ANY ORDERS after when the exchange was taken over accepted after the fact? And how did it go through if communication lines were cut? I mean seriously? Someone breaks into an exchange, doing nothing but messing with the computers and 12 hours later someone suddenly lost their entire fortune? And no eyebrows were raised? They just accepted it?
4) Where exactly were his injuries? I couldn't decide if he was faking it all Yoda style or not. He certainly wasn't crippled at the end of DK and he was mobile enough a second after a doctor stating he had zero cartilage.
I did have a bit of unintentional laughter at the end though....can you please try not to hit everything in sight with the highly unstable nuclear device?
I am man enough to admit that the strength of Alfred's reaction/apology made my misty eyed.
And as for the person who said that Bruce had money because they were in Italy....no. He literally had nothing. His millions were not restored, and he was legally dead. With little he had left was allotted out as stated.
They were living off of Selina's stockpiled cash that she had waiting once she got her "clean slate"
The biggest loose end for me was Blake's allotment from probate. How did he arrange that bag?

So you honestly believe Alfred got all of his money and is not going to share it with Bruce?
Posted on 7/20/12 at 7:54 am to WicKed WayZ
No.
There WAS no money.
He gave away the house, and half the furnature and crap needed to be sold to pay for debts.
Did you not see that?
They flat out said it in exposition, immediately after they had a shot showing repo men raiding the house.
How clearer they needed to make it?

Obvious Reason #2 why Alfred sharing the money argument is stupid: They were already IN Italy when Alfred saw for the first time he was alive.
Even if the money was there to share, how could he have shared it at that point?
Jesus I'm sleep deprived and it's still crystal clear.

Sorry bro I try to enjoy my movie, not disect ever flaw
Posted on 7/20/12 at 7:59 am to Siderophore
I greatly enjoyed the movie and I'm not ready to pit nicks yet regarding any plot holes pointed out so far. My biggest complaint was my difficulty in understand Bane's dialogue - when watching the film in IMAX I probably missed a good 10-15% of Bane's dialogue merely because I couldn't understand it. Perhaps it was because the sound is so much louder than regular showings, but it was still frustrating. Reportedly, they had to remaster most of his dialogue after the initial edits because it was so hard to understand what he was saying...given my difficulties, I'd hear how bad it was before.
