He's pretty fricking good. The question has been the bad knee injury that kept him out a year ago but last season he was as good as any of the younger attacking talents that are more publicized. I'd go as far as to say he could well turn out to be the best attacking player to transfer in this window, period.

Finally got some wage relief by moving Adebayor. Now RSC just needs to find a permanent home and it looks like Real Betis is our only hope for that.

He will be a good squad player to fill in when necessary especially with the potential transfer of Adam Johnson to Liverpool. Also City will have a net positive of 1 English player this window with Rodwell and potentially Sinclair.

I always thought Johnson was under utilized. He is a personal favorite.

I rate Johnson too. Always thought he deserved more playing time especially when he first signed with City. I'm not sure he isn't better than Sinclair.

different types of players. Love AJ for his tricky wing play, but to play in this squad you have to work on defense

The Argentine striker was stretchered off during the 3-2 win over Southampton last Sunday and initial fears were that he could be ruled out for most of the season. However, following a scan and a period of assessment, City boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed Aguero could be back within a month. “I don’t think Sergio will be out for long and we are hoping he will be back after the international break which is obviously fantastic news for him and for us,” said Mancini. "We were very worried a couple of days ago because we feared he could be out for six months or maybe even more which would have been very bad news “It looked like a very strange injury at the time and because it was his knee, we were obviously very concerned so this news is a relief for everybody.” There was also encouraging news about two of Mancini’s other injured stars. Gareth Barry and Micah Richards could also see first-team action sooner than expected. “Gareth will also be ready after the international break,” said the City boss. “He hasn’t played any games for almost four months and he needs to build his fitness up, but he is training again and I don’t see him being out for any longer than one month and hopefully, maybe just a couple of weeks. “Micah’s injury is more serious and he could be out a little longer, but having said that, with rest and the right treatment, we are hopeful he could be ready in about one month, which again would be great news.”

Good match today. City finds ways to get points, I'll give them that. We struggle to close matches.

It is all over Twitter that City are close to a deal with Fiorentina for CB Matija Nastasic. City would give up Savic and £9.5 million.

Not bad for you... I'm not a City fan but i'd get nervous every time I saw Savic on the field last year...

I'm curious to see how they will use him considering he is 19. And yes, Savic was definitely cringeworthy at times. The Skrtel mishap from yesterday was a page ripped out of the Savic training manual.

City might have one of the busier final days of the transfer window. Sinclair and Nastasic look to be in. Maicon seems to probable at around £3 million. If City lose De Jong to Inter, hopefully it won't be at the low price of £3.5 million like is being reported. It would be frustrating to lose a guy at a position of need for that price especially if Yaya leaves again for the African Cup of Nations. You gotta love the final days of the transfer window because you get to hear twitter/tabloid rumors linking City to players like Pique, Iniesta, and Pedro.

Maicon has lost a lot from his game the past two seasons but, if Mancini plans to have him camped out in the attacking third with three in the back, he can help break down bunkered sides.

I think Milan is the more likely suitor for De Jong. I like De Jong more than Barry (and maybe Rodwell) for City's needs but he's not English so I suppose that's why he's the odd one out. Matija Nastasic' seems like a great prospect but so did Savic and he's played around 20 matches in top flight football so far so time will tell. Fiorentina getting Savic in exchange may pay it's biggest dividends in having a fellow countryman to help keep Jovetic happy in Firenze.
