Diaby tore his ACL. career over, at least at arsenal. What a shame.

Really a shame, I found these two stats interesting that were posted after the news broke...

CastrolEDGEfootball @castrolfootball

Diaby has played the full 90 minutes in just 18% (48 of 274) of Arsenal’s league games since he joined the club

OptaJean @OptaJean

34% - Abou Diaby has only started 34% of Arsenal's Premier League games since his arrival in January 2006. Crystal.

Greetings all.

My older brother is a high school varsity soccer coach, and has always been a die-hard Arsenal supporter. I'm a newbie to following the sport as I plan to, but have been a casual fan of soccer for years. However definitely going to hop on with Arsenal since that's my brothers team.

Only real prior knowledge is of the Thierry Henry years, and then RVP recently.

Plan on watching the match Saturday however.

I've seen my brother over the years (he's 25, I'm 20 -- will be 21 in June he'll be 26 in July).

And he takes Arsenal more serious than any fan I've seen of any SEC team, NFL team, etc. It's unreal.

I've casually watched games from time to time, but never taken an invested interest. Excited to get into it.

I'm going to see if y'all can help me out in fantasy. I'm trying to free up some cash and Fabianksi's a cheap GK who may get some playing time. Do y'all think that he's going to start over Szczesny regularly?

ETA: I had no clue Szcezsny is only 22; he looks a hell of a lot older than me. Also, Poles have some weird names.

Arsenal has had back-to-back clean sheets with Fab in goal. I don't really see Arsene changing things anytime soon.

Yeah, I'd be A little surprised if Fab got dropped at this point. He probably doesn't have a whole lot of slack, but until he screws up, it's his job.

Welcome. When they are on, Arsenal can be one if the most beautiful teams to watch. Then they fall apart. Its been hectic these last 7 years but i cant stop watching them. Going to London to see a game at the emirates is on my to do list.

I believe it's on Fox Soccer Channel at 5.

However I'm watching via a stream right now. Should be up more than 1-0 right now.

Good match. I know Reading sucks, but I was very entertained.

It was fun. We dominated. Santi, after a lull midseason, was again spectacular. Gervinho with a goal and two assists. Not too shabby. Aside from those stats, he was dangerous throughout.

Ramsey and Rosicky played really well too, I thought.

There was also a massive missed PK shout in the first half on Giroud. Kinda inexplicable that it wasn't given.

I honestly don't know. Weirdest non-call I've ever seen.

It was a PK but definitely not a red
