Sorry to say, but no.

its iffy imo. Its hard to say no to this team because they have found ways all year even when they play frustrating ball for 8innings. They aren't the most talented but it seems we find away.
KG has to win and our bullpen needs to keep on dealing like they have. Im confident that will happen.
My worry is actually our outfield, arby is fast but it seems like even with that speed balls end up in the gaps. Also none of our outfielders have arms which worries me in omaha with the best teams plus a big field.

Are we the best team left in the tourney...definitely not
Based on what? We beat Fla and SC 2 out of 3 away.
I guess Appy st is the best team?
We won the SEC which says a lot. In Omaha you can easily win with 2 quality pitchers. Also how often does the "best" team win it all?

Every year we won it, I think you could argue we were one of the best, if not the best, going into the tourney.

this team doesn't have the feel of the 96,97,2000, or 2009 team. Part of that is probably the fault of the ncaa for the gay bats they use now but it just doesn't feel as dominate but they find ways to win.

They are good enough, but it still may not happen.
I know we have great pitching for the most part, but so do a lot of teams now.
Florida is the most talented team, but i think its going to come down to who gets hot in Omaha.
I'd give the following teams the same odds of winning it all, and all of them slightly behind Florida.
LSU
South Carolina
Arizona
UCLA
Stanford
then another group a little below them
Arkansas
Baylor
Vanderbilt
Oregon is good, but will probably wilt away in Omaha

And we could this year also right? Winning the SEC doesn't count for anything?

I like are cances with our pitching staff
Posted on 6/4/12 at 8:43 am to Draconian Sanctions
The most important thing you need in Omaha is a deep pitching staff.
With Gausman, Eades, and Nola to go along with McCune and Broussard this team has as good of a shot as anybody.
Throwing in Cotton, Bonvillaian, Rumbelow, Goody, and Bourgeois doesn't hurt eiher.

We have holes in our line up and in our outfield this year. I think the holes in our line up is going to cause us to slip a 2 games somewhere.

Bless his heart, that poor guy couldn't hit his way out of a wet bag.

Are they good enough?--yep
will they? it will be very hard--we didn't win the SEC tournament.
Need more sticks on the ball.
Am I the only one who thinks the college score keepers are very liberal with hits vs. errors? Sat. night that pop up in front of the plate by OSU was absolutely an error (it is what happens when you platoon an out fielder at first) and the latter play when we missed the force at second was an error too IMHO but both were scored hits.

Between eades' inconsistency and our occasional hitting woes, I don't think we have it. BUT, it only takes those two things to click for us to go all the way. I am hopeful

Edward was clutch when we needed him to be. Just have to rotate that DH position until we find the right bat.

LSU has a pitching advantage over most teams. If they can avoid a bad start from Gausman or Nola, anything is possible.
At this point, you just hope to get 5 out of Eades and still be in the game. Let the bullpen take over.
If one more bat can get hot in the lineup and the bullpen keeps it up then we have as good a shot as anybody.

If they win it this year, it will be the worst team to win a national championship at LSU.
South Carolina looked pretty good this weekend. Much better than us.

Beat them already. We might not always look the best, but we're scratchy.

LSU is good enough, but I don't think they are the type of team to win by comfortable margins. That means they need to execute when opportunities present themselves and avoid silly mistakes. I have real concerns with LSU's base running, and I fear we may run ourselves out of a game against quality opposition.

... hitting is pathetic ... you decide ...
