Heres a list of players from best to worst in the Pacers vs Heat series(without Bosh). Heat players *

LeBron James*
Dwayne Wade*
Danny Granger
Roy Hibbert
David West
Paul George
George Hill
Darren Collison
Tyler Hansbrough
Leandro Barbosa
Lou Amundson
Mario Chalmers*
Udonis Haslem*
Battier*
Turiaff*
Rest of Heat*

The Pacers are just a better team. They have 9 players that would be the 3rd best option on the Heat team without Bosh and all 9 would be a starter or 6th man. Lou Amundson is the Pacers 8th or 9th best player and he would start over Joelle Anthony or Turiaff at the Heat. The Pacers have the size and depth to take out the Heat. Not to mention Coach Vogel is a superior coach to Spoelstra in every way. They are just a better team. Bosh is showing how much he means to this team. Lebron and Bosh play great together because they are selfless players. The problem with the Heat is with DWade( look at how he handled himself with Spoelstra).

Because they have the "Favorites" stumbling backwards, scared shitless.

I dont know if i would say the Pacers have more talent than the Heat but they do have a good team nucleus. Hibbert has matured and the addition of barbosa takes alot of pressure off of Granger, George, and Hill. Not to mention, Collison, enough heart for the whole team. They will have trouble with depth in their front court but im rooting for them.

because one of the heats best players is out with an injury. Aka the same way the 76'ers beat Chicago

I think they beat them because

Roy Hibbert
David West

are much better than

Udonis Haslem*

Turiaff

Miami can't do the gritty stuff to win w/o Bosh.

Not the same. The Heat still have an MVP in the lineup.

Talent? No. The talent level on the Heat is as high as it can get. But, when LBJ is out and DWade has a night like last night, which happens more then most people think, they have nobody. They could have the biggest drop off in the league in talent. After LBJ and Wade its a straight drop off to who? Chalmers? Hes garbage. Had a nice game last night but still, George Hill and Collison are both better than him. When the Pacers sub in and out, there is a drop off, but only a little. They have bench players that would start for the Heat.

If they were playing a team like San Antonio, I would be worried about their depth. But, against the Heat without Bosh, they have the advantage in the front court. Hibbert is emerging as a star. David West is as solid and consistent at PF as they come. And Hansbrough is solid off the bench and is a trash player/boards/fouls that every team needs. David West is the player the Pacers have been needing. Never scared, leadership, hustle, and never backs down. The young guys for the Pacers are eating up what DWest brings to the team and they are starting to play with that mindset.

And I know Bosh is out people. It would be different if he was here, but hes not. Which is why I didnt include him in the list. He would be #3 if he was playing, but hes not.

Reminds me of the Finals between the Lakers and Pistons in 2004. Karl Malone also had major injury issues in that series which hurt the Lakers a lot sort of like how Bosh being out is killing the Heat right now.

Talent? Yes. Pacers have more talent than the Heat when you look at the TEAMS. Once again, we go back to the team over the individual philosophy.

Let's say you give Wade and James each a 10 on the talent scale.

All you need is 4 players for the Pacers with half of that talent to match up. The PAcers, as a team, are more talented than the Heat, as a team.

Because they are up 2-1? Nice job starting the thread after 3 games have been played. Went out on a limb with this one, eh?

You actually think Bosh means just as much to the Heat as Rose does to the Bulls?

If they do, it's because Bosh is out.

No need to overanalyze.

I know the MSB flips out over PER, not sure why lol.

But a PER of 15 is average, that's how the the calcualation is set up.

No team has EVER won a title with only 2 guys with a PER above 15. Without Bosh, the Heat only have 2 of 12 guys with a PER above 15.

They're simply not good enough to win a title like they are constructed now. That being said, they should still be able to beat the Pacers, but they may not even be able to do that.

And every year you have about 30 teams which this is the same case for.

what's your point?

Not really.
The Heat are the favorites still, but they lost home field advantage and got emberrassed last night. The Pacers have 100% of the momentum. This will got to atleast 6.

that helps but don't act like it's the only reason. LBJ is beastin' but Wade is playing like garbage and they don't have a guard that can play any semblance of defense.

That they can't win it all without Bosh. Thought I made that pretty clear.

Yea your right. As a team, they are better. Individually, heat might take it.

O yea went out on a huge limb with this 1. Its not like the Heat are crumbling without Bosh and they were just run out of the gym. 2-1, and already a win on the road and a dominating performance at home. Im not counting the Heat out just yet, but if they dont win the next game its as good as done. And we will see in a few days if I went out on a limb.

The bulls were 18-9 without Rose this year

The Heat were 4-5 without Bosh

Not that farfetched really. The Bulls as a team are way better from top to bottom than the heat.

So they can't win because they don't have Bosh? Or they can't win because the team isn't constructed right?
