Yea, oh hell yea we are discussing it again.

Seems one Jamie Howard has his problems but any
other time periods jump out at you?

TIA

Not on LSU teams that were this good.

Do you realize we have gone 24-3 in 2 seasons with piss poor QB play?

we won 33 games from 2009-2011

as bad as the QB play seemed, it's all relative. It wasn't great, but our QB play for the most part got the job done.

Yes. The QBs for LSU were putting up worse stats than the QBs for Georgia Tech running the option

74-76 were pretty bad as well:
'74: changed to the veer O but Miley went to MLB; which left Broussard and Trimble at QB.
'75: Pat Lyons and Bobby Moreau
'76: same as in '75 except Ensminger (true Fr) started the last 2-3 games.

It was the worst 3 yrs of QB play that had the same 2 individuals involved. Certainly did not see any improvement over time and was very frustrating to watch----good thing is ITS OVER!!!

You even have to ask? You can watch replays from any year on the past 3 decades and all of those offenses look much more cohesive than what we witnessed the past 3 years. If we had any offense at all the past two years, those two BCS trophies would be in BR instead of Tuscaloosa and auburn.

Shouldn't it be four years (2008-11), four seasons? 2008 was the worst for my money.

Jamie Howard

Was way better than Lee and Jefferson.

The Chad Loup/Jesse Daigle years were god awful.

Melvin Hill and then later Marcus Randall were painful to watch.

Oh yeah, this was the worst QBing, and I've seen them all from Lynn Amedee and Jimmy Fields in 1960 to now. JJ and JL were not handled well from a coaching standpoint, and I also blame the coaching for not having an adequate backup to Ryan Perrilloux. When something happened to Perrilloux we were left with Hatch, Lee, and Jefferson--all way too young and inexperienced.

Jefferson was an above average LSU quarterback when you look at his stats and add his running stats to the mix.

His TD/INT ratio is a lot better than a good number of LSU QB's.
