What is a good section to catch the game in for a decent price? TIA
ETA: I'm awful at finding the right board today

Maybe the most expensive stadium in MLB...having said that well worth it!

The bleachers. The seats on the top of the Green Monster are fantastic but expensive. You should be able to get a seat in the bleachers for $50.

Bought tix on stub hub for outfield seats in R field one year and then down the first base line but were covered. Both times we ended up walking to the top level in right field.
The seats are built for jockeys. Just get in the park and then find a good place to stand and watch. And the fans will not only know all the stats for all the starters, but even grandmas in the stands will know the stats for all the dudes in their minor league system. It's crazy.

Pre-game at the Baseball Tavern. It's the LSU bar in Boston.

Try going to a game against a crappy team. There are some games with $10 tickets on stubhub. You'll still get the experience of being in Fenway Park.

I went to a game July 3, 2010 which I would imagine is one of the most popular times to go. Someone told me season ticket holders that could not make the game would call in close to game time and the box office would sell the tickets for them. The catch is they didn't start selling them until after the game started. I was able to get two tickets right behind home plate about 30 rows up for around $50 a piece and made it to my seats sometime in the second inning. Scalpers were trying to get like $100 a ticket for pretty much any seat before the game. If you don't mind missing warm-ups and a little bit of the game, you may be able to luck out if they still do this. There were a number of people waiting in line though.

I'm willing to pay up to about $45 a seat or so, and my options are the rf bleachers, 3B line grandstand (midway up), rf box, and some outfield grandstand seats

There's a lot of obstructed views so be careful. Also, one time I went I sat in very awkward seats by the Pesky pole in the RF corner and had to angle my body to see home plate.

The good thing about buying from Stub Hub is that they are required by law to indicate if they are obstructed view.
I'm going for the Memorial Day game against the Tigers.

Tickets are hard to get
But that was after two World Series titles
With their start so far it may be a little easier
I actually had to get SRO tickets and was able to have a pretty good view that way

No, it was cool because we weren't behind a pole.

Get a beer at Cask N Flagon before the game.

I sat in a right field box - section 94 I believe - a couple of years ago and the seats were decent. The wife and I paid $50.00 a piece for the tickets. We found a guy with season tickets outside of Fenway looking to unload a couple.
Be sure to get down there early and enjoy the environment around the stadium before going in. We had a blast and look forward to when we can go back.

Sat in right field a few years back. Great views of behind home plate & the green monster. No obstructed views, nice breeze, great view of sun set.
Wouldn't have changed a thing.
