We can't forget about Austin Jackson's 8-14 .571 batting average for this series.

Gotta like the new approach, hopefully doesn't turn into the strike out king again this year.

Jackson has worked on changing his approach and has changed up his front leg motion before impact. Let's hope he stays within those mechanics and doesn't slip back to his old form as the season rolls along.

Yeah, that was very nice to see. In the past it was so frustrating for a guy with his type of speed to constantly strike out, because he's such a weapon on the basepaths.

It looked good so far, so I hope he keeps it up.

If Detroit doesn't win the whole thing I will be

However, with Fielder and Cabrera batting 3&4 just imagine if they had Victor Martinez

Whoa whoa whoa, the red sox and yanks have a combined 30 world series championships? That's like saying Jack Nicklaus and Bubba Watson have a combined 19 major wins.

The Red Sox have 7 World Series. Fourth most in Baseball.

Yeah, because there are no other teams with great offenses and starting rotations in the AL. The Rangers, for example, have magically ceased to exist.

That was an awesome win for them on their opening day.

I was talking about teams like could actually win the World Series, the Rangers would just choke it away

Plus. Jim Leyland > Ron Washington

I wasn't playing, but thanks for assuming I'm an all-star baseball player.

The only people that think losing a championship is equivalent to choking are people that have no experience actually playing competitive sports.

That scenario will play out next year.

Not sure where they are "rated", but having the best starting pitcher in the game (Verlander), a guy that pitched better than him the last 1/3 of last season (Fister), and a closer (Valverde) that was 50/50 last year in save opportunities it is pretty good.

Hopefully Fister's injury is short term.
